In-The-Ear (ITE)
These are custom-made hearing aids that are worn in the outer part of the ears and are suitable for mild to moderately severe hearing loss. These aids are larger than canal aids and for some people it may be easier to handle than those behind-the-ear aids. Advanced features such as directional microphone and wireless technology can be easily implemented in this group of hearing aids.

In-The-Canal Aids (ITC)
These are custom-made hearing aids that worn unobtrusively in the ears canal. These aids are suitable for mild to moderately severe hearing loss. This group of aids are less visible than ITE models and features such as volume control, directional microphone, remote control and Bluetooth connectivity are available.

Completely-In-The-Canal Aids (CIC)
These are the smallest custom-made hearing aids that fit completely in the ear canals and are virtually unnoticeable. The amplification powers for this group of aids are usually smaller and are only suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss. As the aids are worn deep in the ear canals they are less likely to pick up wind noise. These aids use the smaller battery and typically last about a week. Due to size limitation additional features such as volume control and directional microphone are not in-cooperated in this group of hearing aid.
